+ WHAT WEBSITE PLATFORMS DO YOU USE?

I use primarily Squarespace, WordPress, or Shopify to build all of my client’s websites. Depending on your business goals and budget we can determine what works best for you.

+ WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?

Web Design: Once we have set a date to get started on your project, and have been through our contract, you will receive an invoice for your 50% deposit. This payment will secure your project slot. Then, when the project is complete you will receive an invoice for the remaining 50%. Once I've received the final payment, I will hand over all project files ready for you to launch to the world!

Marketing: Once we have determined your Marketing Package and set a date to get started on your project, and have been through our contract, you will receive an invoice for your first month of service. Payment for all retainer work is due at the first of each month for the term of the contract. **

+ HOW MUCH DOES SQUARESPACE COST?

You can find Squarespace's pricing on their website here, but most of my clients require either the Business Plan or the Basic Commerce Plan.

*Website Domain & Hosting fees, along with the cost of your email or plugins are separate from my website design fees.

+DOES THE CLIENT GET A VECTOR FILE OF THEIR LOGO AND ARTWORK ONCE CREATED?

The client receives an EPS (vector), jpeg, png, and if needed a word file that works like clipart sent via dropbox or google drive.

The logo design can be used to complete digital and print brand marketing – including business cards, letterhead, envelopes, brochure design, websites, graphics for websites, direct mail design, email marketing, mailing labels, presentation folders, and any other designs your business may require.

+ HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS ARE RIGHT?

I’ll work with you to find the best strategy for your brand. I never want you to over-extend on social media (or your budget) so I will give you honest feedback on where I think you need to be and help you figure out what’s truly best for your business.

+ WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE WE START ON MY PROJECT?

I will send you a Brand & Login questionnaire, a mood board for inspiration, and filling out a process guide that will walk you through how to gather all of the content for your website.

+ HOW WILL MY WEBSITE BE MAINTAINED?

My process is specifically designed to be easy and stress-free for you; Either I will walk you through managing and maintaining your site after launch or have no worries I can maintain your site with an annual fee. Learn More about website maintenance packages.

+ WHO OWNS THE ARTWORK CREATED FOR YOUR BUSINESS?

The actual artwork files unless agreed upon in the proposal, are owned by Jen Lew + North Fork Marketing & Design. However, ALL approved web images and high-resolution images purchased are 100% yours once the project is fully complete and paid for.

+ WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Web design and development projects require extensive resources, consumes our time and incurs internal expenses. Therefore once a payment or deposit is made, it is non-refundable. Refund Policy

+ HOW LONG DO WEB DESIGN PROJECTS TAKE?

Brand and website transformation packages take around three months. This timeframe includes all parts of the website design including a tutorial and launch but is subject to you supplying all content and completing all client homework before the project start date and goals throughout the project.

+ GRAPHIC DESIGN & HOURLY PRICING?

Prices depend on many variants, but you can be sure you are getting great value for your design project. Design jobs are charged by the hour. Typical graphic design projects are $125/hr. or a flat $450 for a small to med setup job. I also bill in 15min increments for email marketing + web work. If you have small changes to a pre-existing file that takes 5 min for a quick update, we will charge the min amount of $35. Web site work starts at $125 per hour. You won’t find that with some of our competitors.

+ WILL I BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE TECH AND MAINTAIN MY WEBSITE AFTER THE PROJECT IS FINISHED?

Yes, I will provide you with guides and workbooks taking you through step-by-step how to prepare all the content for your website. In the end, I will offer you a 90-minute training session showing you exactly how to make any edits you need. This will be recorded and available for you to access any time you need to in the future.
